On Wednesday, February 5, at the initiative of the Sylhet branch of Bangladesh Pediatric Association (BPA), winter clothes were distributed among four hundred helpless and distressed families in Darvast area of Jaintapur upazila of Sylhet district with the personal funding of BPA members.
Present at the event were Sylhet MAG Osmani Medical College Principal and newly formed BPA President Professor Dr. Md. Ziaur Rahman, Co-President Dr. Md. Moazzem Hossain, General Secretary Dr. Akhlaq Ahmed, Sylhet BPA Branch Founder President and Senior Member Professor Dr. M. A. Matin, Treasurer Dr. A. H. M. Khairul Bashar, Joint Secretary Dr. Minakshi Chowdhury, Organizing Secretary Dr. Mohammad Sohel, Science Affairs Secretary Dr. Tanzina Chowdhury, Office Secretary Dr. Md. Hedayet Hossain, Professor Dr. Ansar Khan and other BPA members and dignitaries of the area.
Sylhet BPA organizes various social development activities every year, including winter clothing distribution.
