The upazila administration has provided financial assistance to the families of two people who died in a road accident in Sarishabari, Jamalpur.
On Thursday (February 13) afternoon, Upazila Nirbahi Officer Arun Krishna Pal handed over a check of Tk 25,000 to each of the families of the deceased. He assured that other allowances and assistance will be provided by the administration in the future.

The cheques were received by the families of Ariful Hasan (21), son of Amjad Fakir of Naldar village in Mahadan union of the upazila, and Ariful Islam (24), son of the late Mahar Uddin of Fulbaria village in Bhatara union.
It is worth noting that five people, including the two men, lost their lives in a head-on collision between a truck and a CNG truck in the Korgram area adjacent to the Digpait suburb of the Jamalpur-Tangail highway at around 6:30 pm on January 30 (Thursday).
