Md. Humayun Kabir,
Gouripur correspondent.
Abul Hashim's children have called for a boycott of using Robi Axiata mobile SIMs through a press conference at the Gouripur Press Club in Mymensingh. Abul Hashim of Kaurat Chakbari village in Gouripur upazila of Mymensingh was killed on duty at the Falgunkara Robi Tower in Chauddagram upazila on October 18 last year. He was working as a security guard there. He was employed there by the security company ISS Limited.

In a written statement at the press conference held at the Gouripur Press Club auditorium on Sunday afternoon, Monowar Hasib Mamun, son of the deceased Abul Hashem, said that his father Abul Hashem had been working as a security guard at Robi Tower since 2003 through the security company ISS Limited. He was on duty there alone on the night of the incident. It is believed that members working in different sectors of Robi Tower came to steal valuable goods, and upon recognizing them, they brutally killed Abul Hashem. But the sad thing is that Robi and ISS companies took the side of the killers to protect them without taking any action against the killers. They did not even express any condolences or contact the family of the deceased Abul Hashem.
The deceased's two daughters, Alifa Sultana Happy and Latifa Sultana Shipu, along with other relatives were present at the press conference.
Due to the non-cooperation of the Chauddagram police station in Comilla, the real murderers could not be accused. Recently, the Comilla court made the suspects Falgunkara Tower in-charge Nurullah, former in-charge Anis, generator operator Sumon, ISS Limited Company supervisor Anwar and another security guard of Falgunkara Robi Tower Safiur as supplementary accused, but the police have not arrested them yet.
In this regard, Comilla Chauddagram Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Helal Uddin Ahmed, who recently joined the police station, told reporters that the killers could not be arrested because the case was clueless, but efforts are underway to arrest the accused who were petitioned through the court later.
