A drug dealer named Abid (24) has been arrested with four kilograms of marijuana in a joint operation in Gouripur, Mymensingh. He was arrested from the Gazipur area of Douhakhla Union of the upazila on Saturday (February 8) night.
The arrested drug dealer is the son of Abdus Sobhan of Patgudam More area of Mymensingh city. It is learned that on Saturday night, based on secret information, the joint forces led by Major Nayeem Hasan of the Gouripur temporary army camp conducted a raid in the Gazipur area of Douhakhla Union of the upazila.
During the operation, the motorcycle rider Abid was arrested with four kilograms of marijuana. The joint force handed him over to the Gouripur police station along with the marijuana that night.
Mirza Mazharul Anwar, Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Gouripur Police Station, said that a case will be filed against the arrested drug dealers under the Narcotics Act.
