Five warranted suspects have been arrested in a special operation by the police of Srimangal Police Station in Moulvibazar.
The operation was conducted on Saturday (February 8, 2025) under the leadership of SI Sajeeb Chowdhury, SI Bablu Kumar Pal, ASI Md. Ariful Islam Bhuiyan and ASI Md. Nazmul Hossain of Srimangal Police Station.
Those arrested are;—
1) Raju Mia (26): East Lawarkul (Kodalipara)
2) Golap Mia alias (Sourav), Sonar Bangla Road (floating)
3) Md. Rahim: New Market (Floating)
4) Jasim Mia: Saitula
5) Riyad Mia (26): Panchaun
Police said that arrest warrants were issued against the arrested persons for various crimes and they have been handed over to the competent court through due process.
An official from Srimangal Police Station said, "Our campaign to curb crime will continue. The police are always vigilant for the safety of the people."
