A reception and auspicious inauguration of house construction was organized by the Joytun Welfare Trust in South Surma Upazila, Sylhet on Saturday, February 8, 2025 at 11 am in Daudpur Majhpara-Gazipur, South Surma Upazila.
It is worth noting that recently, under the initiative of Joytun Welfare Trust, 45 families in various upazilas of Sylhet district have been completely built new houses and 60 families have been renovated.
The event was presided over by Alhaj Abdul Majid Lal Mia, the chief patron of the Zaitun Welfare Trust, and conducted by social activist Abdul Momin.
The Holy Quran was recited by Md. Zakaria Talukdar.
The chief guest was Barrister MA Salam, Central International Affairs Secretary of Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP). The special guest was Alhaj Mohammad Kaptan Hossain, Director of Sylhet Metropolitan Commerce and Industries. Abdul Gafur, former president of Bengali Workers Association, Camden, UK. Md. Nurul Islam, founder chairman of Haji Anwar Ali Academy. Miftah Uddin, Honorary Advisor of Kochkhat Khan Probasi Social Welfare Education Trust, Md. Fakhrul Islam Saista, Chairman of 8th Moglabazar Union. Solaiman Hossain, former chairman of Jalalpur Union.

Various charitable activities are being conducted in various districts of the country including Sylhet with the funding of the main patron of the Joytun Welfare Trust, Abdul Majid Lal Mia, and Chairperson Rabeya Tahera Majid. In continuation of this, today's house construction program has been inaugurated.
