A press conference has been held in protest against the allegation that Haji Sabur Talukder has forcibly occupied the land of Haji Qorban Ali Sheikh in Chala Mouza of Belkuchi, Sirajganj.
Haji Qurban Ali Sheikh made this allegation at a press conference at the Belkuchi Press Club on Thursday (February 6) at around 3 pm.
At this time, Qurban Ali Sheikh said, for a long time there has been a dispute with Haji Sabur Talukdar over a land in the same area. Haji Sabur Talukdar has been abusing me and my family members at various times for that land, and has been giving various kinds of threats and intimidation. As a result, on January 30 of this year, at approximately 9 am, Haji Sabur Talukdar and his people started the construction of a boundary wall in that place illegally, illegally and forcibly using bricks, sand and cement. When I tried to stop the work, he abused me and gave me various kinds of threats and intimidation. He has started the construction of a boundary wall there forcibly right in front of my eyes. I seek legal redress and cooperation from the administration in this regard. He also alleged that he was involved in another case based on the dispute over this matter.
Local personalities and relatives and family members of victim Qurban Ali Sheikh were present at the press conference.
However, Haji Sabur Talukder denied all the allegations and said, "He is making false allegations against me. He will also claim that the place is his."
In this regard, Belkuchi Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Zakeria Hossain said, "We have not received any complaint in this regard. If we receive a complaint, necessary action will be taken after investigation."
