Faridpur District Representative-
A schoolgirl named Mahia Akhter Arvi (13) was forcibly abducted from Char Harirampur Union of Charbhadrasan Upazila of Faridpur on Thursday afternoon. Allegations have been received.
A case was filed at Charbhadrasan Police Station on Friday afternoon in this incident.
Police have arrested one person on suspicion of involvement in the kidnapping incident.
The complaint states that my daughter, Ms. Mahia Akhter Arvi (13), is a student of class 8 of Harirampur High School. My daughter goes to school regularly. I have noticed for some time that my daughter is often in a bad mood and does not smile or talk to anyone properly. When I asked my daughter the reason for her sadness, she told me that her Tik Tok Id. Va was introduced to the defendant through his Tik Tok Id: MD Rana and he made various bad proposals to her through Tik Tok Id Messenger. Since the introduction, the defendant Md. Rana Mridha has been tempting my daughter with marriage on different dates and times. From the defendant's mobile number-01335-548917, he made various bad proposals to my daughter's mobile number and if she did not agree to the proposal, the defendant threatened to kidnap my daughter. On 27/02/2015, at approximately 11.30 am, my daughter went to Harirampur High School and did not return home. When she did not return, I searched the school and my relatives' houses, but no one could find her. Later, through the witnesses 1. Murad Bepari (35), father- Motaleb Bepari, 2. Monowara Begum 50), husband- Motaleb Bepari, both of whom were Intaj Mollar Dangi, Thana-Charbhadrasan, District-Faridpur, I came to know that the defendant Md. Rana Mukha and 2/3 other unidentified defendants, on the same date at approximately 03.30 pm, the Zakeras of Charbhadrasan Police Station lured my daughter from the paved road in front of Harirampur High School in Sura Sakin in a pre-planned manner and forcibly kidnapped her and took her to an unknown place on an easy bike.
In this incident, the father of kidnapped schoolgirl Mahiya Mahiya Akhter Arvi, Md. Mozaffar Bepari, filed a case under the Prevention of Violence against Women and Children Act with Charbhadrasan Police Station on Friday afternoon.
Confirming the fact that the case was filed and the accused was arrested, Charbhadrasan Police Station OC Md. Rajiullah Khan said that a team of police from Charbhadrasan Police Station, led by the investigation officer of the case, SI Md. Washek Mia, conducted a raid at night and arrested the main protagonist of the kidnapping incident, Md. Rana Mridha.
The arrested were handed over to the Faridpur court on Saturday afternoon.
