A colorful procession was held in Kalai Upazila of Joypurhat to welcome the holy month of Ramadan. Organized by the Upazila Jamaat on Friday (February 28) at 4:30 pm, the procession started from the Upazila Central Mosque, circled the main roads of the municipal headquarters, and ended with a rally at the bus stand premises.
A large number of party leaders and activists participated in the procession organized under the leadership of Upazila Jamaat Ameer Maulana Md. Munsur Rahman. Joypurhat District Jamaat Assistant Secretary Md. Hasibul Alam Liton was present as the main speaker in the post-procession rally. Upazila Naib Ameer Md. Taiful Islam Fita, Upazila Jamaat leaders Md. Abdur Rouf, Md. Mozaffar Hossain and other leaders also spoke.
The speakers highlighted the significance of the month of Ramadan and said that Muslims should understand the significance of this month and worship it properly. They called for more worship, charity and charity during the month of Ramadan.
Also calling for the promotion and spread of Islamic values, the speakers said that the month of Ramadan is a month of restraint and self-development for Muslims. In this month, along with adhering to the teachings of Islam, one should extend a helping hand to the neglected and poor people of the society.

In this month, we must take a pledge to build our individual and social lives by following the core teachings of Islam. There was also great enthusiasm among the local people surrounding the procession and rally. Locals said that a religious solemnity and spiritual atmosphere have been created in the area, centered around the month of Ramadan.
