Police recovered 20 stolen and lost mobile phones in Sarishabari, Jamalpur. They were later handed over to their rightful owners.
The mobile phones were officially handed over to the owners at Sarishabari Police Station on Thursday (February 27) afternoon. Officer-in-Charge (OC) of the police station Md. Chand Mia handed over the lost mobile phones to the owners present.
Sarishabari Press Club General Secretary Poet Zakaria Jahangir, Upazila Press Club President Shafiqul Islam, police officials and mobile phone owners were present at the time.
OC Md. Chand Mia said that a total of 36 general diaries (GDs) were filed with the police station in the month of February regarding the theft and loss of mobile phones. Later, with the help of technical assistance, 20 mobile phones were recovered by conducting raids in different parts of the country. He added that the police will continue this campaign to recover lost mobile phones.
