District Representative, Comilla
M. Sadeq, senior photojournalist of Daily Prothom Alo and member of Comilla Press Club, has passed away. (Innalillahi wa inna ilaihi raji'un)
On Monday (February 17), at 12 noon, he suddenly fell ill while taking pictures of the fishing festival in the Gomti River in Comilla. Later, his colleagues took him to the Comilla Cidipath Hospital, where he passed away at 1:57 pm. He was 63 years old at the time of his death.
M Sadek was a senior journalist from Comilla, who had been working for Prothom Alo since its inception. He is survived by a son, wife, grandchildren and numerous esteemed relatives. His first funeral will be held at the Comilla Press Club premises after Maghrib on Monday.
Comilla Press Club President Kazi Enamul Haque Faruk, General Secretary Zahid Hasan, Organizing Secretary Imtiaz Ahmed Jitu, former staff reporter of Prothom Alo Comilla office and editor and publisher of Daily Amar Shohar Gaziul Haque Sohag, Prothom Alo Comilla correspondent Abdur Rahman, and leaders of various political, social, and cultural organizations in Comilla have expressed deep condolences over his death.
