Youth dies after being electrocuted while stealing electricity wires in Narail. A youth named Irfan Munshi (24) died while undergoing treatment after being electrocuted while stealing electricity wires in Lohagara Upazila of Narail. Irfan Munshi is the son of Turaf Munshi of Char-Korfa village of the upazila. Ujjwal Roy, district representative from Narail, said that the autopsy of the deceased was completed at Narail Sadar Hospital on Saturday (February 15). He died while undergoing treatment in Dhaka last Friday night. Earlier, this incident took place at Alamunsi intersection in Lohagara Upazila on the night of last Monday (February 10).
According to local sources, on Monday night, the deceased Irfan Munshi of Char-Karfa village and his two accomplices, Arif, son of Akhtar Sheikh of the village, and Rabiul, son of Khoka Molya, went to Alamunsi intersection in Lohagara upazila to steal an electric wire. At that time, the young man named Irfan Munshi climbed a pole and tried to cut the wire and was electrocuted and fell down, while his two accomplices ran away. Later, local people realized that he was seriously injured and brought him to Lohagara Upazila Health Complex, where the doctor in charge of the emergency department sent him to Dhaka for advanced treatment. Later, he died on Friday night while undergoing treatment. His body was buried after the autopsy of the deceased on Saturday.
In this regard, Lohagara Police Station Inspector (Investigation) Abdullah Al Mamun confirmed the matter of the deceased and said that the body of the deceased has been handed over to the family after the autopsy.
