Alikadam Upazila Jamaat-e-Islami has taken out a procession welcoming the month of Ramadan. The procession started from the Canteen intersection after Asr prayers today (March 1), circumambulated Alikadam Bazar and ended with a rally in front of Nasir Saudagar's shop in the market.
The front of the procession was led by Maulana Mashuk Elahi, the Ameer of Alikadam Upazila Jamaat.
He said in his speech at the rally, all hotels and restaurants should be closed during the day during Ramadan. All kinds of obscenity should be avoided. Addressing the administration, he said, we do not want to see any kind of syndicate in the market. You should take immediate action. The prices of all kinds of daily necessities should be kept at a tolerable level during Ramadan. The Holy Quran was revealed during Ramadan. We want to form a state free from oppression and occupation in the light of the Quran.
Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami Alikadam Upazila Branch Secretary Sadek Mia, Alikadam Union No. 1 President Mahmudul Haque, Naya Para Union No. 3 President Muradul Islam, Bangladesh Islami Chhatra Shibir Alikadam Upazila Branch President Mr. Mahmudul Hasan, leaders of the Workers' Welfare Federation and leaders of various levels of Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami Alikadam Upazila and Union were present in the welcome procession and rally.
Leaders and activists from all walks of life and the public spontaneously participated in this, led by the ward-level president and secretary.
