Keeping in mind the slogan "Ahlan Sahalan Mahe Ramadan", a Jamaat-e-Islami Bangladesh procession and short meeting were held in Gopalpur, Tangail, welcoming the holy month of Ramadan to protect the sanctity of Ramadan.
On Friday afternoon (February 28), a procession was taken out from the local Alia Madrasa Maidan, initiated by the Jamaat-e-Islami Bangladesh Gopalpur Upazila branch. The procession circled around the Gopalpur Police Station and the Nandanpur Bus Stand and ended with a brief discussion at the Old Municipal Market.
"The sanctity of the month of Ramadan must be protected, hotel restaurants must be closed during the day," he said, welcoming the holy month of Ramadan, protesting against the rise in commodity prices, and demanding the protection of the sanctity of Ramadan.
In the short meeting, Jamaat-e-Islami Bangladesh Gopalpur and Bhuiyanpur nominated candidate Tangail District Jamaat Secretary Maulana Humayun Kabir, District Working Council Member Dr. Professor Atar Rahman, Gopalpur Upazila Upazila Amir Md. Habibur Rahman Talukder, Upazila Maulana Idris Hossain, Assistant Secretary Maulana Abdul Mannan, Organizational Secretary Obaidullah were also present, and leaders of Jamaat's non-cooperative organizations from various unions and upazilas also participated.
