A motorcyclist was killed after being hit by a truck in Saidpur, Nilphamari. The accident occurred at around 9:15 pm on Sunday (February 9) in the Kamarpukur area of the Saidpur-Rangpur highway.
The deceased has been identified as Wahiduzzaman (33). He lives in Uttarpara, Paschim Balagram, Jaldhaka Upazila, Nilphamari. He is the son of Safiyar Rahman of that village.
It is learnt that Wahiduzzaman worked at RFL Company in Naogaon district. On the day of the incident, he was returning to his home in Jaldhaka from his workplace on a motorcycle. When he reached Kamarpukur area around 9:15 pm, a truck coming from the opposite direction fell in front of his motorcycle. At that time, he met with an accident and died on the spot.
Syedpur Police Station OC Faham Uddin confirmed the incident and said that the body was handed over to the deceased's family members after the legal process was completed.
