During winter, we ensure our protection from the heat of winter by wearing warm clothes and clothes like coats, scarves and blankets. Although it is easy for the wealthy people of the society to ensure such protection, the poor, distressed, helpless, working and uprooted people of the society are really in trouble in winter. Among them, the most problematic are the elderly women, men, sick and children. They do not have the ability to buy warm clothes and necessary clothes. That is why they really look forward to the government and the wealthy people of the society in winter. The helpless people in the cold are hoping that when they will get a blanket. Paikgachha Upazila Nirbahi Officer Mahera Naznin has ended such waiting of countless helpless uprooted people on behalf of the government. Sometimes in the dark of night, sometimes in the winter morning, sometimes in the late afternoon, she has rushed to the doors of the poor, distressed and helpless people with winter clothes. Throughout the winter, he has been distributing blankets as winter clothes to the helpless people, including the uprooted people living under the WAPDAR embankment of the Water Development Board, the helpless people living in various shelter centers, and the young children of the orphanage and madrasa. He is delivering these winter clothes to the real helpless people with his own hands as much as he can.
Besides, she is also delivering winter clothes to the needy people through various government agencies including the municipality, union council. The uprooted people of the area are happy to receive warmth from UNO Mahera Nazneen in the severe cold.
It is worth noting that Upazila Executive Officer Mahera Naznin distributed winter clothes (blankets) obtained through the Ministry of Disaster Management and Relief to helpless people on behalf of the government.
In this context, UNO Mahera Nazneen said that this is a humanitarian work. There is a kind of peace in distributing winter clothes to the helpless people in winter. There are also limitations, even if the government wants to, it is not possible to reach all the people. For this, along with the government, private organizations, social institutions and the wealthy of the society should come forward for such humanitarian work.
