Sherpur Sadar Police arrested Kamruzzaman Sujan, the son of the late Abul Hashem, the founder of Sherpur's Babar & Company Private Limited, who is accused in 88 cases, including 18 cases with warrants and 70 cases with convictions for embezzlement, and Kamrul Hasan, who is under warrants in 4 cases, from Rajuk Uttara under Turag Police Station in the capital Dhaka on Sunday, February 9 at around 5:30 am.
The arrested accused, Mohammad Kamruzzaman Sujan and Mohammad Kamrul Hasan, are sons of the late Abul Hasem of Narayanpur Mohalla in Sherpur district town.
It is learned that under the direction of Sherpur Police Superintendent Mohammad Aminul Islam, Additional Police Superintendent (Sadar Circle) Mohammad Abdul Karim and Sherpur Sadar Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Mohammad Zubaidul Alam, a force comprising SI Mohammad Nazrul Islam, SI Ashiqur Rahman, ASI Mohammad Shafiqul Islam arrested Kamruzzaman Sujan, an accused with 88 warrants including 70 CR sentences and 18 CR general cases, and Kamrul Hasan, an accused with warrants in 4 CR general cases, from Sector 18 Block A of Rajuk Uttara Apartment Project of Turag Police Station in Dhaka at around 5:30 am on Sunday, February 9.
On this occasion, a press briefing was held at the premises of Sherpur Sadar Police Station under the chairmanship of Sadar Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Mohammad Zubaidul Alam. Superintendent of Police Mohammad Aminul Islam addressed the press briefing. Additional Superintendent of Police (Sadar Circle) Mohammad Abdul Karim and journalists from print and electronic media were present at the time.
