Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami, Sirajdikhan Upazila branch, held a colorful rally to welcome the holy month of Ramadan.
On Friday (February 28) after Asr, the rally started from near the Nimtala Sikder Shopping Complex in Sirajdikhan Upazila of Munshiganj district, circled various roads in Nimtala, and then ended in front of Shahabuddin Plaza through a road show.
The rally included various slogans such as "Nara'i Takbir, Allahu Akbar. Ahlan Sahlan, Mahe Ramadan. Eating and drinking during the day must be stopped. We must protect the sanctity of Ramadan. We must stop obscenity and lewdness. The weapon of Badr, roar once again. Muslims of the world, unite and fight. The rising prices of commodities must be stopped."
At the post-rally roadshow, Upazila Ameer Maulana Md. Kabir Hossain said, "Today's rally to protect the sanctity of the month of Ramadan is not just a formality, but it is to inform the world that the people of Sirajdikhan Upazila cherish and cherish the month of Ramadan and Islamic culture. Today's rally will play a role in reaching this culture to people all over the world. We will protect the sanctity of the month of Ramadan by observing fasting, offering Tarawih prayers and breaking the fast."
He highlighted the sacred significance of the month of Ramadan and urged everyone to follow Islamic precepts.
Addressing the businessmen, he said, "The month of Ramadan is a month of self-purification, restraint, and worship. In honor of Ramadan, reduce the prices of daily necessities this month and keep them within the purchasing power of the common people."
He called for reducing the prices of essential commodities to ease the hardships of those fasting during Ramadan and breaking up black marketing, hoarding, and syndicates.
