Harun Or Rashid Jewel, a resident of Pathankandi village, Notun Jailkhana Morse, Kishoreganj Sadar area, is a teacher by profession. He is working as an assistant teacher at Kishoreganj Model High School.
In November 2024, the victim's family filed a case against former UP member Mosharraf Hossain for forcibly kidnapping their eldest daughter Mehjabin Akhter Ankhi. Mosharraf Hossain was then arrested. However, after being released on bail, the UP member had been threatening him in various ways to file a case. But even that did not deter the victim's family. On February 19, when he did not file a case, the UP member rode a motorcycle over him at the Jailkhana roundabout. Before he could realize anything, Mosharraf started slapping and punching him indiscriminately. Hearing the screams, the people around removed both of them. Later, the former member rode away on a motorcycle, threatening to kill him.

In this regard, Abdullah Al Mamun, the officer-in-charge (OC) of the police station, said that action will be taken subject to investigation.
