Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) has seized smuggled goods worth Tk 1.46 crore, including a consignment of banned Indian liquor and medicines, at the Sylhet-Sunamganj border.
On Sunday night, Sylhet Sector, Sylhet 48 Battalion BGB Commander Lt. Col. Md. Nazmul Haque gave this information.

The BGB commander said that BGB patrol teams from several BOPs, including Banglabazar in Sunamganj and Tamabil Sangram BOP in Sylhet, seized a truck used for transporting smuggled goods, including liquor, medicines, Sheikh Nasir Uddin bidi, three-piece, cattle (buffalo) sugar, chocolate, oranges, fuchka, body spray, skin sign cream, olive oil, and Indian cotton filled with contraband, using various smuggling routes on the Bangladesh-India border in the early hours of Sunday.
The value of the seized goods, including the truck, is approximately 145,65,500 taka.
