The body of a missing fisherman was recovered from a trawler that was crossing the river in Barisal on the night of December 31. The body was recovered from the Mollar Hat area of Kedarpur Union in Babuganj Upazila, the confluence of three rivers in Barisal, said Superintendent of Police Md. Sharif Uddin.
The trawler's driver is Mahbub Howlader (52), son of Sekandar Howlader of Paschim Mundapasha village in Shikarpur union of Uzirpur upazila.
Police Superintendent Md. Sharif Uddin said that on the night of January 31, the missing boatman Mahbub Howlader was kidnapped along with a trawler. He has not been found since then. Six people, including the boatman's nephew Md. Sujan Howlader, were arrested on suspicion of involvement in the incident. According to their confessions, the body of the missing Mahbub was recovered from the mouth of three rivers. Details will be announced later.##
