Mostafizur Rahman: "Yours is my Bangladesh, I will vote together" - National Voters' Day-2025 was celebrated in Saghata Upazila of Gaibandha with this theme in mind. A colorful rally and discussion meeting were organized on Sunday, March 2, organized by the Upazila Administration and Upazila Election Office.
In the morning, a colorful rally started from the upazila square and ended at the upazila election office after circumambulating important roads. Later, a discussion meeting was held there, presided over by Upazila Election Officer Md. Wazed Ali.
Upazila Executive Officer (UNO) Md. Isahak Ali spoke as the chief guest at the event. He said, "Increasing voter awareness is essential to maintain a healthy democratic environment and ensure fair elections. National Voters Day is an important medium to convey that awareness message."
In addition, Rural Development Officer Samiul Islam, Youth Development Officer Abu Bakar Siddique, Women's Affairs Officer Pawan Kumar Sarkar, Ansar VDP Officer Shahena Begum and Upazila Assistant Election Officer Ataur Rahman also spoke.
In their speeches, the speakers emphasized raising awareness about the responsibilities and rights of voters and urged new voters to register and exercise their voting rights properly.
