A colorful rally and discussion meeting was held on the occasion of Voters' Day, organized by the Shantiganj Upazila Administration and Upazila Election Office of Sunamganj district, just like the rest of the country.
On Sunday (March 2) at 11 am, a colorful rally started from the Shantiganj Upazila Parishad premises, circled the main roads of the upazila, and ended at the Upazila Parishad premises.
Later, at 11:30 am, Upazila Executive Officer Sukanta Saha spoke as the chief guest in the conference room of the Upazila Parishad, moderated by Upazila Statistics Officer Md. Masud Sarkar.
Upazila Election Officer Md. Abul Khair gave the welcome speech. Upazila Assistant Commissioner (Land) Fazle Rabbani Chowdhury, Upazila Social Service Officer Taslima Akhter, former commander of Upazila Muktijoddha Command Ataur Rahman, and Press Club President Kazi Mohammad Jamirul Islam Momtaz addressed the meeting as special guests.
Present at the time were Upazila Cooperative Officer Ruhul Hasan, Public Health Officer Md. Atiur Rahman, Upazila Secondary Education Officer Anisur Rahman, Upazila Youth Development Officer Sandwip Biswas, Principal of Surma High School and College Md. Aminul Islam, General Secretary of Shantiganj Press Club Sohel Talukder and others.
