A golden jubilee and alumni reunion ceremony was held at Kashipur Hasemia High School in Homna Upazila of Comilla with colorful arrangements.
The golden jubilee and reunion ceremony was held throughout the day on Saturday (February 22). The event included
Golden rally, discussion, remembrance, raffle draw, lighting of school buildings, pigeon and balloon flying, and a delightful cultural program.
Former student of the school, banker Md. Zahirul Islam, presided over the event, with BNP Central Committee Organizing Secretary Principal Selim Bhuiyan as the chief guest. The program was inaugurated by school donor member Abdul Moin. The welcome speech was delivered by former student celebration committee member secretary Dr. Md. Shahid Ullah.
Among others, Upazila BNP President Mohammad Mohiuddin, General Secretary Md. Mozammel Haque Mukul, Upazila Jamaat Amir Maulana Md. Saidul Haque, current headmaster Salamat Ullah, former headmaster Abul Bashar Sarkar spoke.
Former students of the school are Supreme Court lawyer Md. Shah Alam Sarkar, Haradhan Chandra Das, Professor Md. Shah Alam, Anwarul Azim, Abdul Malek, Advocate Zakir Hossain, Rafiqul Islam, Jahangir Alam, Chairman Sadeq Sarkar, Customs officer Md. Mizanur Rahman, Professor Faruk Ahmed, Jahangir Alam, Hassan, Kausar and others.
During the program, the local people, including former and current students of the school, demanded that the school be converted into a college. Later, a pleasant cultural program was held. The main host was former student Ariful Islam Tuhin.
