The 41st death anniversary of General M.A.G. Osmani (retd.), the Commander-in-Chief of the Great Liberation War, has been celebrated with due dignity by the Bangladesh Army.
On Sunday, February 16, General Officer Commanding (GOC), 17 Infantry Division and Area Commander, Sylhet Area, Major General ASM Ridwanur Rahman, AWC, AFWC, psc, G, laid a wreath at the tomb of General MAG Osmani (Retd.) adjacent to the Hazrat Shahjalal (R.) Shrine with due military honors.
A guard of honor was paid by a smart contingent of the Bangladesh Army. Finally, prayers were offered for the repose of his soul and the well-being of the country and the nation.
All senior military officers of the Sylhet area, members of other ranks of the military, local dignitaries, and media persons were present at the ceremony.
