Md. Dil, Sirajganj
One person was killed after a passenger bus lost control in Salanga, Sirajganj.
The accident occurred at around 9 am on Monday (February 3) in the Deer Market area on the Dhaka-Natore Highway in Ramkrishnapur Union No. 1 of Salanga Police Station.
The deceased passenger has been identified as Md. Selim Reza (46), son of the deceased Jamal Uddin Pramanik of Dantpur Balsha Bari area of Ullapara Upazila.
Sirajganj Hatikumrul Highway Police Station Officer-in-Charge Ataur Rahman said that the Rajshahi-bound Ratna Paribahan passenger bus, which left Ullapara in the morning, reached a place called Kaisar Beel on the Dhaka-Natore Highway in Ramkrishnapur Union No. 1 of Salanga Police Station when the bus driver lost control.
A passenger named Md. Selim Reza (46) died on the spot after falling into the ditch. The bus that was involved in the accident has been brought to the police station for legal action. Necessary action will be taken after the investigation.
