A human chain has been formed in Nalitabari, Sherpur, demanding the arrest of Baghber UP Chairman and Upazila Awami League Senior Vice President Abdus Sabur before his removal.
On Thursday (February 27) afternoon, people from all walks of life in Baghber Union organized a protest against fugitive Awami League leader and Baghber UP Chairman Abdus Sabur on the road in front of the Upazila Parishad for various misdeeds including vote rigging, irregularities and corruption, and harassment in false cases by using the influence of the Awami League.
The administration was demanded to arrest him before removing him. Later, the locals submitted a memorandum to UNO Farzana Akhter Bobby demanding the removal and arrest of Awami League leader and Baghber UP Chairman Abdus Sabur.
Speaking at the human chain were Baghber Union BNP President Mozammel Haque, Shafiqul Islam, organizer Rahul Amin, Upazila Sramik Dal Joint General Secretary Amirul Islam, UP members Hamidul Islam Harun, Shefali Begum, Sulaiman Mia, Chhatra Dal Vice President Russell Akand,
Alam Mia, ward BNP president Babul Mia and others.
People from different walks of life participated in the human chain.
