A truck driver named Yusuf Ali (30) was killed after being hit by a tanker truck in Shahjadpur, Sirajganj. Upon receiving information, members of the Shahjadpur Fire Service reached the spot and recovered his body.
The accident occurred at around 3 pm on Sunday (February 16) in the Talgachi area of the Bogra Nagarbari highway. The deceased was identified as Yusub Ali, son of Raja Sheikh of Rajman village in Ullapara upazila of Sirajganj.
Shahjadpur Fire Service Station Leader Roknuzzaman said, "A tanker was heading towards Bogra after lifting oil from an oil depot in the Baghabari Naubandar area of Shahjadpur Upazila at noon. The tanker reached Talgachi area of Shahjadpur Upazila and hit a Nasimon coming from the opposite direction, killing the Nasimon driver, Yusub Ali, on the spot. We recovered his body after receiving the information."
Upon receiving the news of the road accident, Shahjadpur police station immediately reached the spot, and Hati Kumrul Highway Police Station SI Kishore Kumar reached the spot. Then Shahjadpur police station and Shahjadpur Fire Service officials handed over the body to the Highway Police.
