On the occasion of Martyrs' Day and International Mother Language Day, wreaths were laid at the Shaheed Minar in Burichang and Brahmanpara upazilas of Comilla district at 12:01 am on February 21 at the initiative of Professor Md. Yunus Foundation. The leaders of the Central Committee, Metropolitan Committee, Burichang and Brahmanpara committees of Professor Md. Yunus Foundation placed the wreaths.
At 12:01 am at the Burichang Central Shaheed Minar, Professor Md. Yunus Foundation Chairman Advocate AHM Taifur Alam, Secretary General Professor Kamrul Hasan Nasim, Foundation's Burichang Upazila Branch President Abdur Rahim, General Secretary Kamal Hossain, Joint General Secretary Advocate Ershad, Organizing Secretary Mahbubur Rahman Masum, Joint General Secretary Halim Khan, Joint Organizing Secretary Md. Rafiqul Islam, Acting Principal Md. Delwar Hossain Khan, Professor Abul Hasen, Professor Kabir Hossain, Professor Kabir Hossain, Professor Hafizul Islam, Professor Ripon Roy, Headmaster Jamal Hossain, Jubo Dal leaders Md. Kabir, Kausar, Hannan and members of the Foundation laid wreaths.
On the same day at 12:01 am, Brahmanpara Upazila Professor Md. Yunus Foundation General Secretary and Press Club President, journalist Syed Ahmed Lavlu, led by Assistant Professor Golam Mostafa, Assistant Professor Abdul Quddus, Upazila BNP Joint General Secretary Mohammad Nazrul Islam, Press Club Secretary Faruk Ahmed, Organizing Secretary Gazi Md. Rubel, Joint General Secretaries Anwar Hossain and Harun Or Rashid, Information and Technology Secretary Imam Hossain, Principal Khorshed Alam, BNP leaders Emdadul Haque Sabuj and Gazi Saidul Islam Emran, and other dignitaries of the area, placed the monument at the Brahmanpara Central Shaheed Minar.
