Mymensingh District Police held a press briefing. In a raid by the DB police, 1 member of a fake document creation ring was arrested; various types of seals, stamps, fake documents and draft papers were recovered. In a press briefing held in the conference room of the Mymensingh Police Superintendent on Monday afternoon, Additional Superintendent of Police Mohaimen Ur Rahman told reporters that on February 9, the District Intelligence Branch, Mymensingh, learned based on secret information that for a long time, fake land-related documents and name-rejection documents were being created in the house of Char Iswardia Sakine Alamgir under Kotwali Police Station.
Based on the information, a team of the District Intelligence Branch, Mymensingh, arrested the ringleader of the gang, Alamgir Hossain (31), red-handed from the scene. During the initial interrogation, the accused and other members of the gang confessed that they used to create new documents, change the names of the disputed land, and make the owner of the land who was not the owner of the land. In addition, in the case of registration, they would add new names and make the names of those who did not deserve the land a partner in that land, and they would reduce the amount of land by deleting the names of the real owners of the land and register new names of others and make them sharers of the land. During the operation of the District Intelligence Branch, Mymensingh, information was found about at least 4 more active members of the gang.
Efforts to arrest them and the process of taking legal action against the arrested person are ongoing. The full name and address of the arrested person is Alamgir Hossain (31), father - Abul Munsur, mother - Hajera Khatun, Sang-Char Iswardia, Thana-Kotwali, Mymensingh.
