A motorcyclist was killed and another person was injured when a motorcycle crashed into the back of a trolley parked in Madhukhali, Faridpur.
The incident took place at 5 am on Monday (March 3) at Chenkhali in Kamaldia Union on the Dhaka-Khulna highway in the upazila. The deceased motorcyclist has been identified as Enamul Haque (28). He is the son of Nazar Ali Sheikh of Maheshpur village in Sreepur upazila of Magura district. The other injured rider is Qayyum Molya (35), son of Akbar Molya of Kachua village in the same district.
It is learned that a motorcycle going from Magura to Faridpur hit the back of a trolley supplying sugarcane to Faridpur Sugar Mill, which was standing at Chenkhali in Kamaldia Union on the Dhaka-Khulna highway. At that time, two riders of the motorcycle were thrown off and injured on the road. Locals rescued the injured and took them to the emergency department of Faridpur Medical College Hospital, where the doctor on duty declared one of them dead. The other rider has been transferred to Dhaka for better treatment.
