On the occasion of International Mother Language Day, professional journalist leaders of Kaptai paid tribute to the language martyrs. On Friday (February 21) at 12:01 am, Kaptai professional journalists paid tribute to the Upazila Shaheed Minar by placing flowers.
Among the professional journalists were former president of Kaptai Press Club Mahfuz Alam, former general secretary Rabiul Hossain Chowdhury Ripon, former organizing secretary Ripon Marma and Joynal Abedin.
At that time, Mahfuz Alam said, "This Bengali language was earned through blood. This language is the passion and inspiration of the people of Bangladesh."
Rabiul Hossain Chowdhury Ripon said, "The people of Bangladesh hold Bangla in their hearts. Mother Language Day is a tradition of Bangladesh. It is part of the culture of Bangladesh. The importance of the mother language must be conveyed to everyone."
