A meeting was held to exchange views on ensuring safe food, market conditions, and safe food.
The meeting was organized by the district administration and the Consumer Association of Bangladesh (CAB) at the Sadar Upazila Parishad meeting hall on Wednesday (February 19) afternoon.
Rashedul Islam, Executive Officer of Sadar Upazila Parishad, delivered the speech as the chief guest. Mehedi Hasan, Assistant Director of the Department of Consumer Rights Protection, Sumaiya Afri Jinia of the Food Safety Authority, and Abdus Salam, President of the Cabinet, also spoke at the event.
At the exchange of views, speakers said that no one should hoard food in anticipation of the coming month of Ramadan and urged traders to ensure that the market situation remains normal during the month of Ramadan.
