In Bakerganj, the Selkhe Upazila administration has been monitoring the market to keep commodity prices normal during the holy month of Ramadan and to prevent goods from being stored on the market roads.
Upazila Executive Officer Rumana Afroz monitored the market from 12:00 PM to 3:00 PM on Sunday, 2/3/2025.
Upazila Sanitary Inspector and Food Safety Inspector Abdul Halim, Reporters Unity President Danisur Rahman Limon, journalist Bayezid Bappi, police station SI Delwar Hossain and members of the monitoring committee were present at the time.
Upazila Executive Officer Rumana Afroz said that during the holy month of Ramadan, any trader has been warned not to increase the prices of daily necessities in view of the month of Ramadan. If any unscrupulous trader capitalizes on the holy month of Ramadan and sells daily necessities at higher prices, strict action will be taken against him. She also gave various guidelines to the market traders to protect the sanctity of Ramadan.
