The Under-14 district cricket team in Noakhali has been officially presented with tracksuits. Prominent sports organizer and Noakhali District BNP member secretary Harun Or Rashid Azad handed over the gifts to the cricketers as the chief guest.
The event was held at the Noakhali Maijdi Shaheed Bhulu Stadium auditorium on Thursday (February 20) under the patronage and organization of prominent sports organizer Md. Siraj Uddin Sahin.
Speaking as the chief guest at the event, Harun Ur Rashid Azad said, "Our sports world is lagging behind due to the lack of skilled organizers. During the previous government's tenure, such a situation has been created due to party affiliation in all fields. But we should give more importance to sports. While a Prime Minister cannot take a country to the world stage, a player can bring a country to a higher position of dignity. Therefore, it has to be looked after. Players have to be evaluated. From my position, whenever the need for cooperation arises, I will try my best to cooperate."
Siraj Uddin Sahin, manager and sports organizer of the Noakhali Under-14 District Cricket Team and sponsor of the organized event, said, "We are sincerely trying to take the Noakhali District Team to the peak of success. And I seek everyone's cooperation on this journey."
The event, moderated by cricket coach Swadesh Majumdar, was addressed as special guests by District Sports Officer Md. Alauddin, former General Secretary of Noakhali District Intelligence Service Mostafizur Rahman, and prominent sports organizer Iqbal Bahar Azad, a member of the National Sports Association. Journalists, athletes, and sports-loving parents were also present at the event.
