The 24th conference of Bangladesh Chhatra Union was held in Durgapur, Netrokona under the theme "Breaking this web of jokes with a strong voice, student society takes the lead in protecting non-discriminatory education and culture." The committee was announced through the council of all levels of participation at the end of the conference on Saturday (February 22) night.
Yesterday (February 22), Saif Rudad, Vice President of the Central Parliament of Bangladesh Chhatra Union, inaugurated the conference program by hoisting the national flag and organizational flag at the premises of Comrade Moni Singh Memorial Museum. Later, a colorful rally circled various roads of the city.
CPB Central Committee member and prominent social worker and public leader Comrade Dr. Dibalok Singha was present as the chief guest at the conference.
The discussion was chaired by Upazila Students Union President Nur Alam Khan and moderated by General Secretary Zahir Raihan. Among others, Netrokona District Students Union President Tanvir Mokammel, Upazila CPB President Comrade Alkas Uddin Mir, General Secretary Rupan Kumar Sarkar, Jubo Union General Secretary Ramzan Ali Sarkar, former President of the Students Union Farhad Iqbal Sarkar, Upazila Committee Vice-President Kabirul Islam and others discussed the issue.
At night, the council elected Zahir Raihan as president, Sabina Yasmin as general secretary, and
Al Mamun was elected as the organizing secretary and a 25-member committee was announced for the Bangladesh Chhatra Union Durgapur Upazila Sangsad.
