International Mother Language Day was celebrated in Tajumuddin Upazila of Bhola with deep respect and solemnity for the great language martyrs.
The day's program began with the laying of wreaths at the Upazila Shaheed Minar at 12:01 PM on Friday (February 21).

First, the upazila administration paid tribute. Then, one by one, people from various classes and professions including various educational institutions, government and private offices, political and social organizations, autonomous institutions paid tribute to the language martyrs. To highlight the significance of the day, a morning ferry was organized, in which students, teachers and people from various classes and professions participated. With the sunrise, the national flag was kept at half-mast in all government and private institutions. Later, at around 8 am, a discussion meeting was held at the Upazila Parishad auditorium to discuss the history of the great language movement and the importance of the mother tongue.
And at 10 am, Quran recitation, discussion meeting and prayer were held at the Islamic Foundation auditorium. In addition, competitions, discussions and prayer mahfils were held at various educational institutions to mark the day.
