Ujirpur Barisal Correspondent: A discussion meeting, drawing competition and award distribution ceremony were held in Ujirpur, Barisal district, on the occasion of the Great Martyrs' Day and International Mother Language Day.
Organized by the Upazila administration, on February 21 at 10 am, Upazila Executive Officer's meeting room was chaired by Upazila Executive Officer Md. Ali Shuja and moderated by Upazila Social Service Officer Md. Abul Kalam Azad. Upazila Assistant Commissioner Bhumi Hasnat Jahan Khan delivered a historical and directional speech as a special guest. Health and Family Planning Officer Md. Shawkat Ali, Uzirpur Upazila Agriculture Officer Kafil Biswas, Uzirpur Model Police Station Officer-in-Charge A. Salam, Upazila Women's Affairs Officer Kazi Israt Jahan, Upazila Engineer Subrata Roy, Upazila Project Implementation Officer Mohammad Mosharraf Hossain, Upazila Youth Development Officer Asma Begum, Acting Principal of Shere Bangla Degree College Md. Anisur Rahman Sharif, freedom fighter Akram Ali Howlader, General Secretary of Uzirpur Journalists Union Mahfuzur Rahman Masum, journalist Asaduzzaman Sumon and others spoke.
Students and teachers from various educational institutions participating in drawing competitions were present at the event. Officials or their representatives from various upazila departments were also present.
