Uzirpur Barisal Correspondent: Participated in the National Children and Teenagers Islamic Cultural Competition 2025 organized by the Bangladesh Islamic Foundation in the subject of Qirat.
Md. Saif Alam, a student of the Hifz department of the Shikarpur Traditional Markazul Karim Samela Majed Qawmi Madrasa in Uzirpur, is winning 2nd place at the national level, beating hundreds of competitors from all over Bangladesh.
The competition was held on February 28 at the Dhaka Islamic Foundation meeting hall.
The ceremony was presided over by A.S. Salam Khan, Director General (Senior District and Sessions Judge) of the Islamic Foundation, as the chief guest and Religious Affairs Advisor Dr. A.F.M. Khalid Hossain, who was present as the special guest, distributed prizes and certificates. Religious Affairs Secretary A.K.M. Aftab Hossain Pramanik was present as the special guest. The guests handed over prizes and certificates to the winners.
On Md. Saif Alam's second place, the founder and president of the organization, Alhaj Mir Sohrab Hossain, said that this is our success and at the same time, he congratulated the winner Saif Alam. He also said that we have two madrasas here where 1600 students are participating, including female and male madrasas.
With the tireless efforts of experienced teachers, these two institutions in the southern region will brighten the face of the region.
At the same time, we will make every effort to modernize Islamic education with the locals.
