The annual sports competition of Anwar Shahjahan Primary School in Golapganj was held in a joyful atmosphere on the school premises. The competition, which was held on Sunday, February 16 at 1 pm, was inaugurated by Tariq Rahman Chanu, General Secretary of Golapganj Upazila Social Trust UK and CEO of Taiba TV.
The program was presided over by the founder of the school, prominent writer and journalist Anwar Shahjahan. School management committee president Anwar Humayun, head teacher Mitu Kinto Deb, teachers Tamanna Begum and Bushra Begum were present. The program was conducted by senior teacher Mehedi Hasan.

Students participated in various sports events in the competition. Along with the students, parents also participated in the event and encouraged their children.
Chief guest Tariq Rahman Chanu said, "An educational institution is not only for teaching, but also sports and cultural activities are essential for the physical and mental development of students. Anwar Shahjahan Primary School is working towards that goal, which is very commendable." He announced a grant of 40,000 taka for the development of the school's infrastructure and renovation of the students' prayer space.
The school's founder, Anwar Shahjahan, said, "Our students will not be limited to textbooks alone, they need sports and cultural activities to enhance their physical and mental skills. I hope that the students of this school will become the pride of society and the country in the future."
The active participation of teachers, students, parents and guests in the inaugural ceremony was remarkable. Those concerned expressed hope that this event will inspire the students and play an important role in their future development.
