A colorful youth festival was held in Sarishabari, Jamalpur, organized by the upazila administration - a youth fair, a pitha festival, and a folk and crafts fair.
The festival was organized on Wednesday (February 19) at the Sarishabari Upazila Parishad premises. A total of 25 stalls, both government and private, participated in the fair, presided over by Upazila Executive Officer Tarun Krishna Pal.

The fair was attended by various government and private institutions including the National Women's Organization, Sarishabari Fire Service and Civil Defense, Sarishabari Municipality, Sarishabari Thana, Upazila Livestock Office, Upazila Primary and Secondary Education Office, Jhenai Bairan Sahitya Parishad, Upazila Women's Affairs Department, Union Parishads, Upazila Social Service Office, Youth Development Office, Health Complex, Agriculture Office and Land Office.
The fair showcased books by local writers, including poet and essayist Zakaria Jahangir's poetry collection Mehedi Patar Rang and Asparsh Chand. Upazila Executive Officer Arun Krishna Pal collected the books and encouraged the local writers.
The fair was a blend of the traditional flavor of the Pitha festival and the art and craft fair with the enthusiasm of the youth. The entire Upazila Parishad premises was festive around this colorful event. The large presence and participation of visitors made the fair lively.
According to the organizers and participants, if such a festival is held every year, the bond between local culture, literature, and youth will be further strengthened.
