Muhammad Abul Bashar: In the election of the management committee of the Ishwarganj Municipal Market Traders Association in Mymensingh, Upazila BNP joint convener AKM Harun Or Rashid (Harun) was elected as the president and municipal BNP joint convener Md. Haider Ali was elected as the general secretary.
Upazila Executive Officer Md. Ershadul Ahmed served as the returning officer in the election. The election was held at the municipality office on Tuesday. Out of 873 voters, 826 voted. 16 candidates for four posts participated in the election. 3 candidates for the post of president, 6 for the post of general secretary, 5 for the post of organizational secretary and 2 for the post of treasurer participated in the election. In the election, AKM Harun Or Rashid (Harun) (Horse) won 474 votes with the symbol, General Secretary Haider Ali (Lock) won 248 votes, Organizing Secretary Abdullah Al Mamun Rayezid won 424 votes with the symbol and Treasurer Md. Jahangir Alam won 592 votes with the symbol.
