The 10th annual general meeting of Kalai Upazila Teachers and Employees Cooperative Credit Union Limited, which is run with the aim of providing financial support and development to teachers and employees, was held in Kalai, Joypurhat.
The meeting, held at the organization's own office at 3 pm on February 20, was presided over by the credit union's chairman, Alhaj Mohammad Abdul Matin. The Cooperative Credit Union League of Bangladesh Limited (CALB) Assistant District Manager Md. Hafizur Rahman was present as the chief guest at the event.
Credit Union Secretary Md. Shamim Reza presented the annual report at the meeting, which highlighted the organization's overall activities, financial progress and future plans. Vice Chairman Md. Azizul Haque, Treasurer Md. Matiyor Rahman, Director Md. Antaj Ali Mondal, Director Md. Rafiqul Islam and Upazila Manager Mokhlesur Rahman spoke as special guests.
The speakers discussed various aspects of the success of credit unions, protecting the interests of members and ensuring financial stability. They said that this institution is playing an important role in improving the quality of life of teachers and employees by providing financial security and providing loan facilities on easy terms.
Chief guest Md. Hafizur Rahman said, "A cooperative-based financial institution can be sustainable only through proper management and transparency. Kalai Upazila Teachers-Employees Cooperative Credit Union has reached the peak of success today because it is run on this principle."
President Alhaj Mohammad Abdul Matin said in his speech, "Our goal is to ensure the financial security of teachers and employees and contribute to their socio-economic development. With the collective efforts of everyone, our organization will become more prosperous."
At the end of the meeting, various important decisions were taken, including the distribution of dividends among the members. The event was held in a lively atmosphere and the members of the organization participated spontaneously.
