SM Saiful Alam, convener of the Disadvantaged Traders Forum, has been elected as the president of the Chittagong C&F Agents Association in the triennial election held on Sunday, February 9. Although a total of 59 candidates submitted nominations in this election, only 29 out of 29 posts remained in place on the last day. Therefore, the Election Commission has declared all the candidates elected unopposed by canceling the vote on the 26th.
Chittagong C&F Agents Association Chief Election Commissioner Mohammad Sharif confirmed this information at 5 pm today.
According to the association's Election Commission office, the Chittagong C&F Agents Association has a total of 29 positions.
In this, SM Saiful Alam was elected as the president, Md. Nurul Absar as the first vice-president, Md. Saifuddin as the second vice-president, Abu Saleh as the third vice-president, Md. Shawkat Ali as the general secretary, Md. Ubayedul Haque as the 1st joint general secretary, Md. Jamal Uddin as the 2nd joint general secretary, Moktar Hossain Patwari as the finance secretary, ASM Rezaul Karim as the customs affairs secretary, Mansur ul Amin as the first customs affairs secretary, Md. Morshedul Alam as the second customs affairs secretary, Rokon Uddin Mahmud as the port affairs secretary, Lokman Hossain Khandaker as the first assistant secretary for ports affairs, Md. Tajul Islam as the second assistant secretary for ports affairs, SM Faridul Alam as the technology-training and legal affairs secretary, Ahmad Shahid Uddin as the publicity and office affairs secretary, Md. Shafiul Azam Khan and Md. Monirul Islam, Md. Shawkat Akbar, Md. Shahnewaz Rumi, Md. Alamgir Hossain, Md. Alamgir Sarkar, Md. Mezbah Uddin, Md. Sarafat Ullah, Md. Salauddin, Md. Golam Nabi, Sarwar Alam Khan, Md. Mohibur Rahman Chowdhury, Ahmed Ullah Talukder were declared elected as executive members.
