On the occasion of the 31st anniversary celebration of the Daily Dehlangan, a representative conference and exchange of greetings was organized at Abdus Salam Hall, 3rd floor, National Press Club on Tuesday, February 25 at 10 am. The event was presided over by the editor and publisher of the Daily Dehlangan, Md. Sahidur Rahman Tepa, and the newspaper's Chief Executive Editor, S.M. Zahirul Islam, delivered a welcome speech.
Virtual speakers included Editor-in-Chief Naznin Sultana, Managing Editor Nawajis Tahnun Chandan, Assistant Editor Dr. Shariful Haque Priyam. Among others, Ashok Dhar, Editor and Publisher of Daily Swadesh Bichitra, Sikder Md. Ariful Alam, Chief Public Relations Officer of Probashi Palli Group, Mohsin Ahmed Swapan, Head of News of Daily Muktakhabar, and Md. Manjur Hossain Isha, Chairman of Bangladesh National Human Rights Association, spoke at the event.
Hridoy Motors Managing Director Hridoy Chowdhury, prominent media personality Dr. Nayan Patwari, special correspondent Md. Rezaul Islam, Md. Sahidul Islam, staff reporter Munni Akhter, Gangachara correspondent Rabindranath Sarkar, Barguna district correspondent Nayan, Mathbaria upazila correspondent Al Mamun, etc., the Holy Quran was recited by Associate Editor Shafiur Rahman Kazi, and the program was hosted by Md. Farukul Islam. In the speech of the president, Md. Sahidur Rahman Tepa said that the daily announcement will be a reader-friendly newspaper.
He will always stand by journalists in all aspects of their development and in cases of unnecessary harassment of journalists, and those who do good work with efficiency will be honored at a large-scale event next year on the anniversary.
On the occasion of the 31st founding anniversary of the Daily Dehlan, journalists from different districts including the Dehlan family, Rural Journalists Foundation (RJF) and Bangladesh Kabi Parishad presented floral greetings to the editor. In the second part of the program, 15 journalists associated with the Daily Dehlan were awarded the Best of the Year award.
Those who received the honors were Special Representative Md. Rezaul Islam, Sylhet District Representative Ismail Khan Niaz, Special Representative Md. Sahidul Islam, Muladi Upazila Representative Md. Atiqur Rahman Miron, Associate Editor Md. Shafiur Rahman Kazi, Staff Reporter Munni Akhter, Monirampur Upazila Representative Md. Mosharraf Hossain, Traveling Representative Md. Salah Uddin Ayubi, Head of IT Md. Ripon Ali, Assistant of IT S M. Mahir Al Mahbub, Staff Reporter Md. Harunur Rashid Mia, Staff Reporter Kazi Ayesha Akhter Swarna, Staff Reporter Azijun Nahar. The ceremony ended with cake cutting in the third phase.
