The 7-day long 7th National Community Development Camp (COMDECA) of Bangladesh Scouts has begun at the hard point of the Jamuna River in Sirajganj under the slogan 'Scouting to build a society without discrimination'.
The 7th seven-day Comdeca began on Wednesday (February 19) at 10 am with the presence and registration of participating Rover Scouts, Rover Leaders, and volunteers. The Scout Training Center was bustling with the participation of participating Rover Scouts, Leaders, and volunteers.
Almost all preparations are complete for this developmental camp organized by Bangladesh Scouts. This grand event is witnessing great enthusiasm among the people of Sirajganj, which has become a matter of pride for the entire district.
7th National ComDeca Coordinator Professor Dr. Khan Mainuddin Al Mahmud Sohel said, this ComDeca will run from Wednesday, February 19 to Tuesday, February 25 at the Scout Training Center-2 of Hard Point, Sirajganj. About 6,000 scout members and leaders from different parts of the country are participating in this year's ComDeca. Members of the Advisory Council of the Interim Government and policy makers of Bangladesh Scouts will be present at different parts of the 7-day ComDeca. The second day will be officially inaugurated by the Chief Advisor of the Interim Government, Dr. Muhammad Yunus, through a virtual connection.
It is worth noting that the 3rd National Comdeca and 8th National Rover Moot were held in Sirajganj in 2001. Since then, the Heart Point area has been used as a scout training center.
