Pirojpur Correspondent: A seminar on the activities of the Wage Earners Welfare Board and RAISE project was held in Pirojpur. Deputy Secretary, Wage Earners Welfare Board, Director (Administration and Development) of the Ministry of Expatriates' Welfare and Overseas Employment, Md. Imran Ahmed, spoke as the chief guest at the seminar organized by the District Administrators' Conference, Pirojpur District Administration and Welfare Center, Barisal, today at 12 noon.

Deputy Commissioner and learned Magistrate (Acting) Md. Aminul Islam presided over the function, while Additional Deputy Commissioner Education and ICT Md. Shakhawat Hossain, Assistant Commissioner Executive Magistrate Liton Chandra Dey, Assistant Commissioner Executive Magistrate Md. Toufiq Anwar were also present. Assistant Director of Welfare Center Barishol Md. Atiqul Alam delivered the welcome speech at the function. Expatriate workers and various government officials were present at the function.
The seminar included assistance to expatriate workers at the airport through the Expatriate Welfare Desk. Provision of services by the Wage Earners Center. Providing scholarships to meritorious children of expatriate workers, assistance to expatriate workers and their families in obtaining insurance benefits. Providing disability allowance to disabled children of expatriate workers. Providing assistance to injured and sick expatriates. Providing financial assistance to the families of workers who died abroad. Providing assistance in bringing the body back to the country and providing assistance in burial if they die abroad. Providing assistance through the Labor Welfare Wing. Operating safe homes abroad. All issues were discussed, including discussions on all the problems faced by women in exile.
