Paikgachha representative
The oath-taking ceremony of the newly elected leaders of the management council of the National Gold Medal-winning Sholaana Business Cooperative Association of Paikgachha was held at the association's own office on Saturday evening. Alhaj Kazi Azizul Karim, the association's advisor, was present as the chief guest and administered the oath to the newly elected representatives.
Re-elected president GM Shukuruzzaman, vice-president Sohel Rashed Joni, secretary Alhaj Sheikh Fazlur Rahman, treasurer Mosharraf Hossain, 8 directors Shahin Gazi, Monirul Islam, Mosharraf Hossain, Nuru Gazi, Rajib Kumar Mondal, Selim Shahriar, Rabbu Islam Dipu and journalist Mohammad Aminul Islam Bazlu took the oath.
The special guest was Assistant Trainer of Upazila Cooperative Office Torab Ali. The President of Contractor Welfare Association Abdus Samad, General Secretary Lecturer Jahangir Alam, President of Ponna Traders Cooperative Association Baburam Mondal, President of Chemist and Druggist Association Anwar Hossain, Former General Secretary of Sholaana Traders Cooperative Association Ilias Hossain, Businessman Alhaj Faisal Mahmud Apu, Former Banker Abdul Karim, Businessman Ramprasad Mondal, Nasir Uddin, Shankar Dutta, Subhankar Shil, Hafez Humayun Kabir and Priest Swapan Chakraborty were present.
It is worth noting that the triennial elections for the management council of this association were held on February 1. 19 candidates contested against 12 positions in the election.
