Savar's Banshai Library celebrated its 5th anniversary with a grand event. The two-day event included a book fair, pitha festival, recitation, painting, debate competition, discussion meeting, cultural program and award distribution.
The chief guest at the event was Dr. Dewan Mohammad Salauddin Babu.
Former secretary and prominent novelist Mofiz Uddin Ahmed was present as the guest of honor. Savar Citizen Club President Mohammad Kamruzzaman inaugurated the program. Former councilors Md. Abdur Rahman and Muhammad Alamgir Kabir were the discussants. Municipal Farmers' Party President Abdul Mannan presided over the event.
The event became a gathering place for library lovers, where participants got the opportunity to showcase their talents through various cultural activities and competitions. People from different walks of life, including students, parents, writers, and readers, participated in the event.
The founders and organizers of the Bangshai Library announced that in the future, such events will be held on a larger scale to spread library culture and increase interest in reading books.
