It is worth mentioning that Secretary Touhidur Rahman is the son of the late Nesar Ali Sardar of Paikgachha village. He was deprived of promotion due to discrimination during the Awami government. When the Awami government fell through a mass uprising on August 5, 2024. The interim government took the initiative to bring such deprived high-ranking government officials under promotion. As part of which Md. Touhidur Rahman was promoted as Secretary and issued a notification by the concerned ministry.
